Eligibility: Doctors (Foundation to ST1-4), Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Orthoptists, and Optometrists with an interest in glaucoma management.
Course Overview
This intensive 1-day course provides a comprehensive understanding of YAG laser applications in glaucoma, covering Peripheral Iridotomy (PI) and Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT). Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience through expert-led lectures and practical simulation sessions.
YAG Capsulotomy
- Laser Applications in Glaucoma – Learn the principles and techniques of YAG Peripheral Iridotomy (PI), Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT), and Iridoplasty.
- Patient Selection & Treatment Planning – Understand patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for conditions such as POAG, PXF, PDS, and angle assessment techniques.
- Practical Workshops & Simulation – Gain hands-on experience performing YAG PI and SLT procedures under expert supervision, including safety protocols, technique refinement, and management of potential complications.

Certificate of Attendance with Royal College of Ophthalmologists accredited CPD points.
